My Beloved Friend, a few days ago,l had a chat discussion with a friend. One of the reference points of that discussion will be our focus this day.

For this purpose, our scripture reference will be the word of our Lord Jesus Christ as written in

John 14 vs 2-3:In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (NKJV)

In our world, quite, unfortunately, a major measure of success is how many material things a person is able to either genuinely or deceptively acquire.

Sadly, the deceptive acquisitions are even more loudly celebrated and hailed.

An average person’s daily pursuit is how to buy a solid car, build or buy a house, have a lot of money in the bank, etc

To be honest with you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with living a moderate, godly good life with some measure of wealth, provided materials acquisition is not seen, considered, or silently/loudly pursued as a MUST.

Unfortunately, our societies are now heavily and materially oriented such that moderation and contentment, which are supposed to be great gains, have been pushed to the background. The ungodly hunger and thirst to greedily and continually acquire multiple cars, multiple buildings/mansions, is unprecedented.

This has led and is still leading the majority, even the very elect-that were once hot for God, out of the presence of Jehovah.

We have thrown into the winds the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in

Matthew 6 vs 19-21:Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (NKJV)

Painfully, the church-l mean Christians, that should give truthful and humble direction to the society, is/are the very one in the forefront of materials acquisition and empire building.

Have you as a Christian taken time to carefully consider the word of our Lord Jesus Christ? He says in His Father’s house, there are many mansions and He goes there to prepare a place for you and l.
His words are true. He was very clear. He has gone to prepare a place-a mansion for you and l, He is coming back again to take us home and handover our mansions to us.

2 Peter 3 vs 8 says one day in heaven is like a thousand years on earth, the length of the so-called enjoyment derivable from the earthly mansions is just too too too short compared to the length of time we will be spending in the heavenly mansion.

Have you really thought about the reason why you are on this earth? It is of course not just about material acquisition.

The reason why we are in this disappointing situation is just because of disobedience.

Till a point in time, in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had perfect relationships with God and themselves. But sin brought separation and is still responsible for the present precarious situation in our land. Meanwhile, God’s purpose remains to reconcile man to Himself.

Have you considered: Why are we so agitated about mansion building, material acquisitions here on earth, and neglecting our spiritual purposes?

Are you aware that you are not going to be building mansions in heaven? The mansions are already built and just waiting to be allocated.

Are you aware that our pure and holy relationship with God here on earth is the ticket to our allocations in heaven?

Are you aware that your street in heaven is tarred with gold? Please read Revelation 21 vs 21.

If we greedily build plenty of mansions or empires in this perishable world and there is no guarantee of the longer-lasting and more beautiful heavenly mansion,l submit that life would have been a waste.

May your life not be a waste in Jesus’ name.

We will do ourselves a lot of good by checkmating our actions with His words as written in
Mark 8 vs 36:For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (NKJV)

As a follow-up, my friend said a prayer,

“the wealth that will prevent me from achieving my main goal, which is Heaven. I don’t want it and May God not bring it my way in Jesus’ name.”

The question is: are you happy to genuinely pray the same prayer? In the face of reality, are you and I ready to say NO to the wealth of this world?

Please don’t be deceived by your environment, slow down and practically consider Our Lord Jesus’s long-lasting purpose for your life.

That ultimate purpose is to give you a ready-made mansion in heaven.

May you enjoy His grace in Jesus’s name.

Remain blessed and Rapturable in Jesus’s name.
